I could tell mother was still ill because of her tired voice, her tired eyes and her cold hands. My father had to work as a merchant just to feed me and my mother, He would leave early in the morning and come late at night. My mother was really ill, so we had to do what was best for her.
maybe...wait never mind. This is so hard
Ughhh! I can't do this!
When I went to school, I saw Clara, my friend we were in the same class, and I greeted her. And once again we learned the same thing for a whole nother day. Atleast, I could learn something. Thanks to Charlemagne, I could now go to school. I just wished that we could learn something else, so that I could get a job, (even though I was only 10) and earn enough money to buy medicine, to prevent my mother from dying.
Lets do this! Lets go find Gutenberg!
I hope he goes along with it! Lets do this!
Later on at night, just as my eyes were about to shut, I heard sobs. I went to my parents bedroom to see what was going on, it was my father on his knees, holding on to my mother’s hands as her eyes were completely shut.
I hope he says yes!
Do you know where I can find Johaness Gutenberg?
Yes. that would be me miss!
The next morning, I thought to myself, I may have not helped my mother with her illness, but I could help other kids. I was going to invent something that would give the poor kids a chance to read, not just the rich. I stayed home, so I could plan things out. As I tried figuring it out, I later found out that is was no use, I couldn’t do this on my own.
I needed a professional. I thought to myself and remembered that people had talked about an inventor in Mainz, Germany. It was just a town away. I packed my bag with useful things and left a note for my father, and was off to find this well known Inventor called, Johannes Gutenberg.
I crossed a bunch of land for a 10 year old, but it was worth it, I wanted to make a child’s future better. I finally made it, I saw a merchant market and hoped it was Gutenberg’s place. I made sure it actually was his place, and I was right!
Nice to meet you, I am Margaret, will you do me a favor?
