Zombies originated from Haitia in the 17th century when people were turned into slaves for sugar cane plantations.
The slaves were being overworked and toured to a point that they committed suicide. Haitians believed that those who committed suicide would be eternally stuck in their body, (zombie).
Overtime zombies became so modernized and popular in films that they lost their origins. They were then correlated with violence and uncurable diseases.
Violence is so common these days there is an incident every month if not week involving a casualty in a shooting of some sort.
There are multiple connections between the violent films we watch and the real life catastrophes going on in todays world. People have a fixation on crime and seeing their imagination become a reality.
