Storyboard Text

  • The story begins in a castle in Lithuania, 1941, just before the beginning of World War Two. Hannibal; his sister, Mischa; and his parents are forced to flee, due to the Germans. They flee to their lodge in the woods, escaping the Germans.
  • After a few years, only Mischa and Hannibal are left. Their parents were killed when a Stuka bombed a Soviet tank crew that had stopped at the cabin.  Soon, German deserters find the lodge. They lock the remaining Lecters into the shed. Soon, they cannibalize Mischa, as they ran out of food.
  • A Soviet tank crew finds Hannibal, who is mute, from the trauma from the lodge. He soon forcibly forgets these memories, though fragments still remain. The tank crew bring him to an orphanage, built in Lecter Castle. He is adopted by his uncle, moving to France.
  • Hannibal's uncle soon dies, suffering a heart attack, trying to confront Butcher Mommond for insulting his wife, Lady Murasaki. This leaves Lady Murasaki and Hannibal. Years later Hannibal, who became a medical student, confronts Mommond, killing him for his actions. Murasaki forges evidence, helping Hannibal escape suspicion.
  • Hannibal used sodium thiopental to force himself to remember what happened at the lodge. He went to the ruins of the lodge, being attacked by one of the deserters once he arrived. He won the fight, interrogating the deserter for information, then killing the deserter. He tracked down the remaining deserters, killing them.
  • The last deserter kidnapped Murasaki, leading Hannibal into a trap. Hannibal manages to overpower the deserter, saving Murasaki. She wanted Hannibal to spare him, but he killed the deserter anyways. She dived overboard, saying there wasn't anything left in Hannibal to love. Hannibal is freed due to popular opinion, and goes on.
