Storyboard Text

  • Where are we going? Vacation?
  • I just saw them here last week! There was a herd of them!
  • The problem is mule deer, and animals like them, are slowly disappearing from the west.
  • Well thats another rig up.
  • Research shows us that mule deer and pronghorn antelopes have been in decline for over four decades.
  • I hypothesize that it is hunters or habitat loss that is causing the decline of the animal populations.
  • Alex T. Brown
  • Upon observation, we see oil and gas industry has sprung up all throughout the west on private and public lands. There have also been more and longer droughts which causes less resources to be available than in the past.
  • We just have to finish those other two now.
  • The data analysis shows that mule deer and pronghorn antelopes leave areas with humans disturbing their habitat. There are many natural gas and oil sites all over the west. Weather data shows that there have been warmer temperatures a longer periods of no rain.
  • Its too hot!
  • I like, I love, I want more of it!
  • I'm so thirsty!
  • In conclusion, the data tells us that habitat loss; due to destruction, fragmentation or degradation of habitat due to climate change; is the primary reason for the animals disappearing. Hunting pressures played a lesser role.
  • It's about time.
  • I need to get everyone to help me to take better care of your habitat.
