  • Theseus and Hippolyta are discussing their marriage when they are confronted with a problem. Hermia wants to marry Lysander , but her father Egeus wants her to marry Demetrius. She has the option to marry Demetrius, be put to death, or to become a nun.
  • Act III: Climax
  • Lysander devises and plan for him and Hermia to run away to the forest, which is outside Athenian law, and get married to each other.
  • Act IV: Falling Action
  • You guys can marry who you love. We shall have a triple wedding.
  • The Fairy King Oberon tells his assistant Puck to put a love juice on an " Athenian's" Eyes. The potion was meant for Demetrius to fall in love with Helena, but instead is put on Lysander's eyes. 
  • Act V: Resolution
  • I am only a man, not a real lion.
  • After going to the forest to fight, the couples get lost in the fog created by Puck and fall asleep due to fatigue. Puck then comes to put the antidote on Lysander's eyes to fix the problem he created.
  • Theseus and Titania come across the couples in the woods and Demetrius and proclaiming his love for Helena. Theseus decides that the couples can marry who they would like and decides to have a triple wedding.
  • The three couples have their wedding and are entertained by performers who are not good at acting, but are comedic to the couples.
