  • Hey Tom, What is the difference between the American, French, and Russian Revolutions?
  •  Well Sara, the American Revolution happened because there was a colonial revolt.
  • Which resulted in the 13 colonies gaining their Independence from Great Britain, making in the USA. 
  • So what kind of leadership was America planning on having after winning?
  • No, the Russian Revolution started in 1917.
  • They wanted a place where people had rights, but not to where people could get away with doing bad things.   
  • So they decided to become a democracy and get a president.
  • So what religions were involved with the revolutions?
  • They believed that the revolution was justified in the sight of God. As for France they had a Roman Catholic Church.
  • Religion plays an important role in the American and some in the French Revolutions.
  • So why did the French have a revolution right after America?
  • Because the French helped America with their battle against Great Britain.
  • But King Louis XVI spent all their money leaving the country bankrupted.
  • So was the Russians involved with the American Revolution as well?
  • There was a food scarcity and people started riots and going on strike which started the Russian Revolution. 
  • What are some of the differences between the French and Russian Revolutions?
  • One of the differences is that Russia had an unsuccessful pre-revolution in 1905
  • Well they are similar and different at the same time. Both of them were led by the bourgeoisie.
