Storyboard Text

  • Today, in science, 2nd period, the 6th graders will be learning about Newton's laws.
  • The first Newton Law is; An object at rest stays at rest unless an unbalanced force acts upon it.
  • Good Morning Class! Could someone please tell me the 3 Newton's laws? Sarah come tell the class.
  • So for example there is a ball on the floor it won't move unless a force such as a push or pull.
  • Acceleration of an object is dependent upon two variables. The net force acting upon the object, and the mass of the object.
  • Ok Timmy, you're turn to tell the class about the 2nd Newton's law.
  • For every action, there is a opposite reaction.
  • Give me the last law of Newton's 3 laws please Jax.
  • If you use the same force to push a truck and push a car, the car will have more acceleration than the truck, because the car has less mass
  • Give me an example of the second law of Newton's 3 laws please Axel.
  • Albert tell me an example of the 3 law, Albert.
  • when you jump, your legs apply a force to the ground, and the ground applies and equal and opposite reaction force that propels you into the air
