They are trying to figure out what's wrong wit the fancy nursery

" But nothings too good for our children" Gorge had said" This quote uses hyperbole and simile, They are saying that all the sudden the 5ft by 6ft room is somehow 40ft out of nowhere. They are also comparing the techy expensive house and comparing it t something that probably cost 1/3 of that
"At dinner they ate alone , for Wendy and Peter were at a special plastic fair across town." This is an oxymoron because When they said "they" it is multiple but alone means 1 or by yourself
