At the Last Supper, Jesus broke bread and gave it to His disciples. This is what happens at church during Holy Communion.
After they had eaten, Jesus went to The Garden of Gethsemane. Jesus knew that His death was near, so He spent the time praying for strength.
'Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done."
While Jesus was praying in the Garden, one of His disciples, Judas, went to the chief priests and told them where Jesus was, therefore, betraying Jesus.
"What will you give me if I betray Jesus?"
When the soldiers arrived at the Garden, Jesus' disciples ran away and Jesus was arrested. Judas would soon regret his decision for betraying Jesus.
After Jesus' arrest, the soldiers took Him to the jail to wait for His trial. They mocked Jesus by putting Him in a purple robe and a crown of thorns. They did this because Jesus said He was the king of the Jews (He really is) so they "made Him king." Purple means royalty or power and the crown of thorns was to represent an actual crown.
"Long live the king of the Jews. Heh heh heh."
After a few days of being locked up, Jesus was brought before Pontious Pilate and put on trial. It was Roman custom that one prisoner would be released for the feast of the Passover. The man who went up with Jesus was named Barabbas, a man who was a murderer and thief. Pilate asked who should be released and everyone said Barabbas...for what reason (I don't know). Pilate knew that Jesus was innocent, but did the wrong thing and condemned Jesus to die.
