The girls were dancing in the forest,in secret, when Reverend Paris caught them practicing witchcraft.
The next day, Betty wouldn't wake up and Reverend Paris was angry with his niece for the dancing. Abigail claimed all they did was dance and that no witchcraft was involved.
Wake up Betty!!
Mr Hale is called to banish the devil from the village. The girls know that they will be punished if they confess to witchcraft, so Abigail threatens them to keep quiet.
