Storyboard Text

  • The anaphase is when centromeres split. Then chromatids separate becoming chromosomes. Chromosomes now move to opposite sides of the cell.
  • And finally cytokinesis is when cytoplasm is divided and separated. Organelles are then distributed to the two new cells, which forms two daughter cells.
  • The telophase is when a new nuclear membrane begins to form around each group of chromosomes.
  • The chromosome contains the DNA that your parents pass down to you.
  • The centriole helps with cell division, they also help with the formation of the spindle fibers.
  • The centromere is responsible for the movement of all replicated chromosomes into the two daughter cells during mitosis and meiosis.
  • The next thing you are going to need to know about is the role and what happens to chromosomes, centrioles, centromeres, spindle fibers, nucleus, and cell membrane.
  • And Finally we have the cell membrane which protects the cell from harmful things and controls what things come in an out of the cell.
  • The nucleus which is probably the easiest to remember by saying it is basically the brain of the cell, it also stores DNA, lastly it controls the activity and growth and more.
  • The spindle fibers form a protective structure that divides the genetic material in a cell .
