The man in the red sweater
Buck was taken from his former owners. He was given to a man in a red sweater who would beat him to learn the way of the wild.
Buck wanted power because Spitz was the leader, there was a type of grudge against him, so he fought and killed spizt to get power.
These are Bucks new owners, for the 3rd time. His new owners have no idea how to take care of the dogs.
The owners gave them all their food because they thought they were weak because they were hungry, so they had no food. They were also exhausted because they didn't give them time to sleep.
His owners weren't listening when John told them about how thin the ice was. They didn't believe him and went on the ice, after about a mile, the ice gave out and they sunk into a sort of crevice under the water
Buck put lots oof his trust in John, his and John's relationship was the ideal relationship for a dog and owner. Although it could get unsafe because Buck would do anything, including jumping from one cliff to another.
