Today is my Big Day! It's my interview to become a Youth Advocate for the HHS Youth Court
Woah! Thats cool! what does that mean?
Well, a Youth Advocate is kind of like a defense attorney. I would represent the interest of the respondent and help advocate for sanctions that will benefit not hurt them!
Oh wow! Neat! What kind of responsibilities do you have?
There are alot of responsibilities! I interview the respondent before the hearing, prepare and deliver an opening/closing statement and cross-examine all witnesses! I also help the respondent feel respected and listened to during the hearing, not frustrated and ignored!
