  • -Women want slavery to end-
  • Yes, lets vote for slavery to end!
  • Slavery is wrong we need to work to stop it!
  • -Women are denied being able to vote-
  • We are here to vote against slavery!
  • Lucretia Mott and Elizabeth Cady Stanton take a stand-1840
  • We want to speak at the convention!
  • You women are not allowed to speak in front of these people.
  • a lot of women did not agree with slavery and were _ but did not have the right to vote so they could not do anything about how they felt.  
  • Lucy Stone takes a stand-1847
  • I refuse to pay property taxes because woman can not vote! Women suffer taxation, yet have no representation.
  • Men would not let them in the voting booths because "women are not allowed to vote"
  • Seneca falls convention-July 19, 1848

  • Even though women cannot vote they still wanted to do something in order to end slavery so they decided to speak at the  World Anti-Slavery Convention in London but found out they are not allowed to speak!

  • Lucy stone graduated college unlike many women who did find colleges that would accept them nor get schooling. She was told she could write a speech but a man had to say it because she was not allowed. She refused and was mad so she decided to do something about it

  • In The declaration of sentiments it states that all men and women are equal.
  • Douglas agreed that all men and women are equal and should have equal rights. HJe also agreed black men should be treated fairly. But the thing was he was trying to get people to see that black women too should be treated fair.
  • All white men and white women including all black women and black men are equal.
