Hi, I'm Glenn Seaborg. I helped to change the way we look at periodic table, I was the on that proposed adding the Actinide series AKA man made elements
I co-discovered Plutonium, Americium, Curium, Berkelium, Californium, Einsteinium, Fermium, Mendelevium, Nobelium. The element Seaborgium is named after me.
I discovered Plutonium 239, it could undergo nuclear fission and used nuclear energy in a nuclear bomb. I was recruited to the Manhatten Project which developed the bombs, Fat Man and Little Boy, that ended WW2,
I helped discover technetium-99m which is the most widely used radioisotope in medicine. It is used in millions of scans a year.
In 1944, I proposed adding a new row to the periodic table. The new row would be below the lanthanides. This new row would be called the Actanide Series.
