Alexa is a (third-year) medical student. Today, she will be shadowing a doctor at the hospital. She will be attending an open-heart surgery.
She puts on her working shoes to wear in the operating room, where she will be standing for 6 hours. The shoes have a built-in PHI system, analyzing the pressure on her feet.
After standing for a couple of hours, her feet start to ache. During the surgery, she is not able to take a break.
Alexa receives a notification, from the PHI-system, in the form of a gentle vibration, that informs her of excessive pressure.
In response she changes her position regularly for more comfort. The system adjusts to her preferences.
At the end of Alexa’s working day, the PHI-system helps Alexa by sharing an overall analysis of the pressures on her feet. It also gives more information about pedal health.
