"There is no God but God and Muhammad is the Messenger of God."
My last prayer of the day...
There are 5 Pillars of Islam. They are Shahadah (Faith), Salah (Prayer), Zakat (Charity), Sawm (Fasting), and Hajj (Pilgrimage).
Here is 2.5% of my net worth!
Shahadah, is profession of faith, and the first pillar of Islam. Muslims bear witness to the oneness of God by reciting the creed.
Oh, no thanks.
Salah, prayer, is the second pillar. The world's Muslims turn individually and collectively turn to Mecca, Islam's holiest city, to offer five daily prayers at dawn, noon, mid-afternoon, sunset, and evening.
Look! The halfway point!
Zakat, almsgiving, is the third pillar. Zakat prescribes payemnt of fixed proportions of a Muslim's possessions for the welfare of the entire community and in particular for its neediest members.
Sawm, fasting during the holy month of Ramadan, is the fourth pillar of Islam. Ordained in the Holy Quran, the fast is an act of deep personal worship in which Muslims seek a richer perception of God.
Would you like some?
The last pillar is Hajj. The Hajj is the pilgrimage to Mecca, and the most significant manifestation of Islamic faith and unity in the world.
