There have been drastic changes since Medieval Europe. Let's take a look at how times have changed and how we have progressed into the Renaissance.
In Medieval Europe, we live by a hierarchal system of land use called the Feudal System. The power belongs to the King and the Church, followed by the Nobles, then the Knights and finally, us peasants. There are poor living conditions as people dump their waste on the streets, engage in unsanitary superstitous practices and have little income to afford a good diet.
Feudalism makes it difficult to progress beyond farming and hard labor. Women's responsibilities extend to childbirth, house-keeping and working with our husbands. We have limited rights and little freedom, mostly because of our lack of education. Some are educated by the Church, but their knowledge is limited due to conflicts between science and the beliefs in God.
The Black Death spread across Europe in the 14th Century, having a devastating impact on people's lives. It wiped out 1/3 of the population.
