THE FUR TRADE By: Shay-Lynn
All we have done for the past few hours is sit in this dang canoe, are we getting any closer to Montreal?
We should be getting closer, I have seen a few fancy buildings along the river.
I just want to get some more of those 'guns'. I hope it's not much further, I am tired of paddling.
Yeah, but considering we have not drowned from the rapids, id say we've done well.
That must have been at least 60 pipes to get here.
Canada has been shaped into the place we are today because of the fur trade. The hard working men and women of the fur trade shaped the country with their efforts of canoeing up and down streams for 16-18 hours a day. They took their jobs very seriously, for little appreciation.
There is a long road ahead, so let us make this a quick trade.
