  • USA
  • France
  • Britain
  • At the end of WWI...
  • The Allied Powers cam out on top.
  • I realize that there are more countries than this but one can only fit so much
  • Germany
  • What should we do?
  • Oh, I don't know...
  • The Treaty of Versailles was negotiated in Paris from January to June 1919
  • It was written almost wholly by the Allies with no input from the Germans
  • Let's divide up Germany so that they can't rise ever again!
  • We shouldn't do that, it may trigger another conflict later on...
  • yeah, Britain is right...
  • France wanted to divide Germany up into smaller nations to make sure that they could never become such a threat again.
  • Britain and the US didn't want to as they thought it may trigger a later conflict.
  • Let's do it like this...
  • NO, PLS!
  • The Treaty of Versailles made the League of Nations, which Germany only joined in 1926. They also lost a great deal of territory which was distributed to others, and the entire war was blamed on them.
  • Germany was left destitute and poor from the articles in the treaty. They had to pay for the entire war, and many other financial responsibilities were thrust upon them
  • In 1935, Hitler denounces and refuses to follow the Treaty
  • Find out what happens next, in the next edition of World At War- World War II
  • You will regret this...
