General George Washington Gathering Ammunition and Men.
The Army marched to meet the British , cutting them from the city.
A local minute-men told General George Washington that the British were coming to take the local city of Philadelphia. General Washington got his troops ready to meet them at a point in a valley called BrandyWine.
Few hours later they met and squared off.
General George Washington told everyone he could to go spread the news. He got his minute-men which could fight at any moment. Some people even told to fight that were not trained.
The Colonists had to retreat because they were down.
They marched fast knowing that the british would be there soon. They had such low gins that some people had to fist fight. Not having a lot of weapons was key bad thing in the battle.
The British took thier way to Philadelphia
Shots were fired around but the low ammo and the men made the British have an advantage. The Colonists army lost more men then the British did.
The smart move for the colonists army was to retreat and let the British have it. They then went to Chadds Ford to retreat. They let the British have their way to Philadelphia.
The British continued their way into Philadelphia thinking that nothing can stop them. They set u post there to keep watch.
