During the day of Sean Bell's death, while Sean was inside the club celebrating at his bachelor party the day before his wedding, his friend was arguing with someone outside.
As Bell and his friends left the club, a undercover cop supposedly heard someone saying get a gun, and proceeded to follow them back to their car.
Finally in car, as Bell and his friends are about to leave, the undercover cop goes in front of the vehicle to stop them and claimed that he was hit by the car.

Just as Bell and his friends left the vehicle, the officers who stopped them let off 50 shots injuring to of Bell's friends and fatally killing Sean Bell.
Officers were charged with second-degree manslaughter, first/second assault, and reckless endangerment However, they were found not guilty. Also, the family of Sean Bell would be payed 3.5 million dollars, while his friends would get 3 million and 900,000 dollars respectively.
