After being on the ship for quite sometime, they finally arrive to new land. But the new land is harsh and cold and populated with an unkown people.
After establishing themselves, the pilgrim's went to search out new land. They found an Indian village and took there food. After that the Indians were constantly attacking the pilgrim's unexpectedly.
In the dead of winter which was mainly the months of January and February many of the Pilgrim's caught diseases like scurvy. two or three would die a day. only a reported 7 or so didn't catch anything;they were the ones that would take care of the sick. By the end of it all only about 50 of the original group the traveled over was still alive.
After constant little skirmishes between the Indians and the Pilgrams a brave Indian came in on the 16th of March to make peace. The Indians name was Samoset. He told them about Squanto another Indian the could speak English. Samoset also made a set of agreements for which the Pilgrams and Indians should follow. The pilgrams agreed to the terms. Squanto then came to teach the pilgrams how to take care of crops.
The pilgrims gathered small harvest of their crop for winter. They had enough food to give everyone meals per week. The pilgrim's were finally civilized.
