Cattle drives included a trail boss, which usually leads the herd. There’s also someone who takes care of everybody’s horse which is the Wrangler. And a very important role, the camp cook, which creates food for everybody. There’s also the point men who guide the herd from the sides, and the drag men who stay behind the herd.
In 1902, oil prices has finally hit. The prices dropped down to 3 cents a barrel. It happened because, of periods of growth and depression in an industry or economy.
The railroads helped move people and goods a lot faster and more efficient. Railroads promised cheap, fast and reliable transportation one place to another. For an example, 35 miles by a horse takes a day and a half but by railroad it takes 2 hours.
