A high school kid goes to a party. Meanwhile, conflict is likely avoiding him. Finally, the kid must confront the conflict that he fought so hard to avoid.

  • Hey, we're having a party tomorrow night at my house. You want to come?
  • Sure, let me check with my parents
  • So, who's birthday are you celebrating at this party?
  • Well then, as long as there is no alcohol there and you're safe.
  • Jeff's.
  • This party is awesome!
  • It was Wednesday, and Cindy invited Joe to a party that night. He could tell that it wouldn't be a typical birthday party, and knew his parent's wouldn't like the idea. But he said yes to avoid conflict.
  • Not sure what to do...
  • Hey man, chill out. What's going on? You can talk to us about it.
  • That guy's a punk.
  • That night, Joe had to convince his parents to let him go to the party. He chose to lie so his parents would not be upset.
  • I think I can finally do the right thing and confront the situation.
  • Mom: Come home now. There's an emergency
  • Please don't go! I need your help!
  • Once Joe got to the party, he realized that it was really fun! 
  • You can come home with me. I will calmy tell my parents about what happened and I will listen to  what they have to say. But it is also important to enter into conflicts that help people. I can't run from conflict anymore.
