July 1784- Thomas Jefferson leaves for Paris, France as an American ambassador and brings his daughter Patsy and a slave, John Hemings.
April 1789- Jefferson goes to King Louis XVI's palace to propose a plan that he believes could stop the brewing war.
April 1789- Jefferson proposes his idea that he believes will help the King avoid War.
April 1789- After King Louis XVI grudgingly agrees to accept Jefferson's idea. He decides to announce his new act to the public.
April 1789- The King announces the new plan, including eliminating the estates and providing any needed assistance.
June 1789- Life in France continues as normal with most citizens openly accepting having no estates.
