  • Declaration of Independence
  • Well lads, we sign this, send it to the King of England, and then hopefully we will be free from his rule.
  • Legislative Branch
  • One law is that the legal age to drive is 16.
  • Executive Branch
  • The Declaration of Independence is a  document that was written to tell England that the 13 colonies wanted freedom, and did not wanted to be under England's rule.  It was signed on July 4,1776  by 56 people such as Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin. It was wrote by 5 people.
  • Judicial Branch
  • Court will be starting soon.
  • The Legislative branch is a part of the government. It consists of Congress and then Congress is divided into two parts which are the House of Representatives and the Senate. The legislative branch is in charge of making the laws.
  •  Bill of Rights
  • People are allowed to practice any religion they want.
  • The executive branch is the branch that makes sure everybody is obeying the United States laws. The President is the head of the Executive Branch and then there is the Vice President who helps/assists. To become president you would have to be 35 years old and an American citizen for 14 years.
  • The Judicial Branch is in charge of interpreting the meaning of laws, applies laws to cases, and decides if cases violate the Constitution. The highest court in the United States is the Supreme Court. But there are other federal courts (local courts).
  •  The Bill of Rights is the first ten amendments of the US Constitution. Saying the laws and the freedom people have and the rights they should always get. It also protects citizens. For example freedom of religion and speech.
