Storyboard Text

  • Balcony Scene (Act 2, Scene 2)
  • Shall I hear more, or shall i speak at this?
  • O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo? Deny thy father and refuse thy name;  Or if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love,  And I'll no longer be a Capulet.
  • Romeo's Confession (Act 2, Scene 3)
  • Be plain, good son, and homely in thy drift, /riddling confession finds but riddling shrift.
  • They plainly know, my heart's dear love is set/ on the fair daughter of rich Capulet;/ as mine on hers, so hers is set on mine.
  • Awaiting Romeo's Words (Act 2, Scene 5)
  • I'faith, I am sorry  that thou art not well. /Sweet, sweet, sweet Nurse, tell me, what says my love?
  • Lord how my head aches! what a head have i!/ It beats as it would fall in twenty pieces./My back a't'other side- ah, my back, my back!/ Beshrew your heart for sending me about/ to catch my death with jauncing up and down!
  • Romeo finds himself in the Capulet courtyard, underneath Juliet's balcony, where she is standing talking to herself about Romeo. She is distraught over the fact that the man she has fallen in love with, is son to her family's enemy, the Montagues.
  • Romeo has come to his father to talk to him about Juliet, the woman he has fallen in love with and intends to marry. Romeo wants Friar Lawrence to marry him and Juliet during the time that they should be in confession.
  • After the Nurse comes back from talking with Romeo about their wedding, she teases and tortures Juliet, making her wait even longer for Romeo's answer. She complains about her being out of breath, a hurting head, and back. Finally the Nurse tells Juliet what Romeo had said to her.
