What happens when a cell explodes? •It happens in the process called lysis •It is the disintegration of the cell caused by a tear of the membrane. •When a cell bursts, it is caused by a tear of the membrane . •If you put red blood cells in water they will explode. •When a red blood cell bursts it release its contents, otherwise known as hemolysis. •When red blood cells are placed in pure water ,water swiftly enters the cell by osmosis and causes the cells to burst ,a episode known as hemolysis
