Storyboard Text

  • The exposition of the novel is when Ponyboy, a Greaser, is walking home from the movie house and gets jumped by some Socs.
  • Climax
  • The conflict of this novel is the rumble between the Greasers and the Socs.
  • Falling Action
  • One of the biggest parts of the rising action part of the story is when Johnny kills Bob. He kills him with a knife, and he does it because Bob is drowning Ponyboy.
  • Resolution
  • The climax of this novel is the same as the conflict, it is the rumble. The Greasers and the Socs attend the rumble. After the Greasers win, they go to see Johnny, and he dies shortly after.
  • Many things happen in the falling action part of The Outsiders, but one of the main parts is when Ponyboy gets sick. After Dally dies, Ponyboy gets very sick and stays sick for awhile, but he is sleeping for most of the time.
  • In the resolution of this novel, the Greaser's and the Socs attend a court trial to sort things out and to see if it is safe for Ponyboy and Sodapop to live with Darry.
