  • Hi, this is Mohenjo-Daro. It is on the Indus River.
  • Mohenjo-Daro was very bustling and busy. It was a home to 35,000 people.
  • Most people had small homes which were also used as workshops.
  • The homes of Mohenjo-Daro were made of mud bricks.
  • After they showered the dirty water flowed out of the house and through the pipes.
  • In the Indus showers people stood on a shower tray or brick and tipped the clean water over themselves.
  • The great bath was a bath the Indus people used to be pure.
  • The Hinduism believe that ritual bathing is very important.
  • The Indus people used seals by pressing the seal into soft clay and then letting imprint into the clay.
  • In the Indus valley seals were used as tags.
  • Traders in the Indus valley exchanged goods like wheat and minerals.
  • Trade was very important in the Indus valley. Traders would travel long distances to exchange goods.
