  • The law of conservation of mass leads back to the 1789 where Antoine Lavoisiers  had discovered that mass is neither created or destroyed in chemical or physical changes.
  • What! anything can be destoyed
  • Not exactly,because of the law of conservation of mass matter cant be created or destroyed they just change,for example atoms atoms can not be detroyed they can just re arrange to form newsubstances
  • duirng chemical reactions matter isnt lost or destroyed but  its changed into something different their is other ways this can happen too,endothermic and exothermic reactions lets take a snowman as an example
  • when the sun rises the snowman will begin to absorb the suns heat energy and it will begin to melt this is called a endothermic reaction because the energy is being absorbed not excerted but their is also an exothermic reaction aswell
  • sun go away!!!!!
  • an exothermic reaction is when heat is excerted rather than absorbed an example can be a pot of boiling water,The water is heated causing it to heat up and excert hot temperature and steam.
  • correct all because of the law of conservation of mass
  • So matter cant be created or detroyed only changed like the atoms rearrangeing
