  • About them: Rich men that had say and power in what they said in the government and politics.
  • Had to: Pay taxes and fight for Rome.
  • Rights: They could own land, own slaves, be part of the government, power in the government.
  • Had to: Fight for Rome and pay taxes.
  • About them: They were usually farmers or tradesmen and were middle or lower class.
  • Rights: They could own land, and had a little say in the government, but not as much as the patricians.
  • About: Women usually had to stay home and clean the houses and make the food for the family.
  • Were not allowed: Into the place laws were made, could not vote, and had no say in what happened in the government
  • Slaves had no rights, no say in the government, and couldnt do anything besides what their masters ordered them to. 
  • Consuls were two patricians that governed Rome, and were elected for only one year, and both had to agree before making a decision.
  • About them: They told the people of Rome what the laws meant, and they judged the court cases in Rome.
  • Had to: Be patrician men.
