  • 1504, King Henry VIII of England is crowned King and wed to Catherine of Aragon, the wife of Henry's recently deceased Brother
  • 1527, Henry is concerned about Catherine unable to produce a male heir
  • Henry unable to obtain an heir turns to the bible for answers and reads Leviticus 20:21 "If a man marries his brothers wife, it is an act of impurity; he has dishonored his brother. They will be childless".
  • Henry went to speak with Pope Clement VII the leader of the Holy Roman Catholic Church. He wished to divorce Catherine and marry Anne Boleyn, but Clement refused
  • Disgusted in the Roman Catholic Church for not believing in the bibles scriptures Henry created a new government. In 1532 Henry established many laws to remove England from the Holy Roman Catholic Church, these laws consisted of the Act of Suppression, Treason Act, the Act of Supremacy and many more
  • 1534, after four years of passing laws, England was now officially removed from the Holy Roman Catholic Church, King Henry divorced Catherine and married Anne Boleyn under his new Church, the Church of England and became one of many reformers of belief
