This pig has been chasing me for hours. He isn't fast, but I can't stop running or he will eat me.
I have been using aerobic pathway to keep out-running him. During glycolysis, I split glucose into 2 pyruvates. After I have done this I generate 2 ATP. But I will need more because this pig is gaining on me
Luckly the Coenzyme A has converted the pyruvates into Acetyl CoA during the enzyme.
The Krebs Cycle occurs is the Matrix of the Mitochandria and 3 CO2 molecules are produced and NAD+ -> to NADH and FAD+ -> FADH2. 2 ATP is produced and is helping me box this pig.
Now comes the Ultimate battle against my foe. Now that the NADH and FADH2 has carried the highly charged electrons to the ETC. Now that protons are in the inner membrane the proton moves them into the inner membrane space to create a gradient.
Now that the gradient is created the hydrogen ions move through and activate the ATP synthase and it converts ADP to ATP, 34 ATP. This will give me the energy needed for this fight.
