  • Firing on Fort Sumter 
  • Battle of Antietam
  • Siege of Vicksburg
  • This battle that lead to the civil war was created by the the issue of slavery. It started with P.G.T Beauregard and Maj. Robert Anderson there sides ere firing at each other. Then the confederates toke control of Sumter by this accruing it all began the civil war.
  • Emancipation Ploclamation 
  • Slaves should be free.
  • This battle happened on September  17, 1862 due it was when Confederate General Robert E. Lee had is first invasion of the Northern States. This battle happened near Sharpsburg, Maryland. The southern and Northern went to war. By this battle accruing it lead to the Emancipation Proclamation. 
  • Battle of Gettysburg
  • This was one of the victories for the Union they surrounded the city of Vicksburg, Mississippi. This battle was a long one started on May 18, 1863 all the way to July 4, 1863. This battle happened for the control of the Mississippi river. The Union failed many times until General Ulysses S. Grant sent troops at midnight by doing this they went though the south of the Vicksburg and won the war.
  • Lee's Surrender at Appomattox Court House 
  • We are done fighting.
  • This granted freedom to the slaves in the Confederate States. It all happened on January 1, 1863 when President Abraham Lincoln declared to free all slaves in the Rebellion with other people in the office in the U.S. It toke some time for it all to happen at the right moment. For the best time for them to tell everyone about the slaves being free.
  • This battle began on July 1st all the way to July 3rd, 1863. This was the most important battle during the civil War. It was the bloodiest war it was up to a total of 10,000 troops dead and many more who were injured. This battle all accrued unexpectedly between the Union and the Confederate forces. Then after a victory Lee decided to invade the North causing the war to las three days. 
  • This battle was fought on April 9, 1865 it was the battle that had finally brought the Civil War to an end. This battle was surrendered once General Robert E. Lee gave up he didn't want to continue with war. So, he stopped his Army of Northern Virginia to Union General Ulysses S. Grant. This all accured close to the town of Appomattox Court House.
