Women's Fitting Rooms
Welcome To East Oxside Mall
As Trinja and I casually shopped one day I spotted a pair of faded blue jeans that would seem to go perfectly with the top I picked out. However as I tried them on I noticed they were too tight.
"Sorry Ma, that's the only one we have left. We had a big sale so we're basically sold out of that style. " The worker responds. "Sale?", I asked. "You know what? Lets go to The Slimmer, if I lose another five pounds I could fit into these, besides I feel like I put on more weight." I announced.
After we purchased the jeans we anxiously rushed back to The Slimmer where it just so happens, a huge crowd has gathered. Many were frantically turning their heads searching for something among the nervous whispers. but, what were they looking for? Then finally I climbed onto the ledge of the fountain to peer over the group. And It wasn't what I saw that gave my heart a jolt, but it was what I didn't see. The Slimmer. It was gone.
I looked around to see the many tattoos on others arms that Trinja and I thought were once so neat. It wasn't until then did I realize how dependent us humans were on The Slimmer to rid us of the unwanted body fat instead of working hard for it. As I reflected on what could have happened I was shook into the presence by Trinja as she pointed upwards toward the glass dorm ceiling where it seemed something like spaceships were arriving. Which could only mean,Aliens.
As I ran toward the exit, Trevor's voice entered my mind and spoke exactly what I knew he say if we were in this situation together face to face. " You see? I was right! The aliens were using the fat as fuel so they can attack us. Now you understand how it pays to have a closer look at things, huh? And you know you lost earlier when you decided to hand over your independence to The Slimmer and your dignity, but you just didn't know it. Now the whole Earth will pay for that loss through the end of the world..." My brother ended his lecture in my head.
Its happening I though, his crazy supersituation was right! And that was the only thought that passed through my brain as I banged on the exit door. Ontop of the door in blinking lights where the word "EXIT" belonged was the defeating truth in big bold letter;GAME OVER. I sunk to my knees as we were all left to die.
