In this scene Abby was trying to sway Parris into her corner showing how she love Betty. I believe that Abby does love Betty deep down, but she is only out for herself. Abby is selfish.
In this scene he's trying to get the truth out of Abby so that he may find the cure for Betty, so that she may wake up. I believe Parris is to worried about the opinions and views from others. Yes he loves his child, but righ now he's worried about outside people.
In this scene she's trying to explain her innocent to her uncle so that she may not have to face the effects of her actions in actuality. I believe Abby is selfish. She only cares about what happens to her. She is deter-mental to herself and others.
