Storyboard Text

  • "Thank you so much officer."
  • Sir, "please wait for this fine gentleman to pass."
  • "Your welcome, James."
  • "It's my pleasure."
  • "Do you need any help crossing the road?"
  • Sure! "Thank you so much!"
  • That's so sweet of you.
  • A self-propelled manual wheelchair incorporates a frame, seat, one or two footplates (footrests) and four wheels: usually two caster wheels at the front and two large wheels at the back. There will generally also be a separate seat cushion. The larger rear wheels usually have push-rims of slightly smaller diameter. That's how it works.
  • Yeah, a bottle of water if you don't mind.
  • It's ok. I'll get you your bottle and I'll be right back.
  • James, Now that you are moving from place to place, I have created a device where your wheelchair moves automatically. All you have to do is say which direction you want to go and it will take you there.
  • Wow! That's so helpful. Thank you for helping me out ever since I've been here.
  • "Hey James, did you know that the first steel, lightweight, collapsible wheelchair was invented in 1933 by mechanical engeneers Herbert Everest and Harry Jennings."
  • "Wow! I never knew that you had so much information about wheelchairs."
  • How do they work?
