- Here are the steps.First is to pull all terms on one side of the equal sign, leaving zero in the other side and then you factor it.Set each factor equal to zero.Solve each of these equations and insert your answer
- But for me i prefer factoring
- x-8=0X=8 or x+2=0X=-2
- x 2 – 6 x = 16 becomes x 2 – 6 x – 16 = 0
- Now i'm giving you an example and I ant you two to solve it using FACTORING
- x 2 – 6 x = 16
- And then you factor it and becomes ( x – 8)( x + 2) = 0
- and then you check it and the solution will be. Both Values, 8 and -2, are the solution to the original equation
