Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Rising Action
  • Conflict/Climax
  • The family were sitting in the living room in the beginning of the story. They were all talking at dinner that night. (Herbert the son, Mom and Dad). They all go to bed that night and wake up and eat breakfast and Herbert goes to work.
  • Falling Action
  • When Sergant Mayor Morris showed up at the Whites house and gave them the monkeys paw. But he warns them about the consequences of using the monkeys paw. Sadly once he leaves Mr. White didn’t take his advice about using the paw and ignored the bad consequences coming his way.
  • Resolution
  • When Herbert dies and he comes to the door because Mrs. White wished for him to come back. Mr. White wished for Herbert to stay dead because he was afraid the he’d come back the way he died.
  • Superstition
  • When the Whites accepted Herbert’s death they lived a little after they wished Herbert back to the dead., They had to face he was gone but they still went to see him.
  • The Whites Stay home and continue their lives without Herbert there with them. They put the monkeys paw somewhere in the house and they will never use it again. They don’t want to go through that messed up thing they already went through.
  • The superstition is the wishes from the monkeys paw and having bad luck if using it. It is weird to be granted wishes from a monkeys paw and have bad karma from using it.
