  • I am King Duncan's most loyal soldier and should not murder him
  • I have always dreamt of being king and should do whatever it takes to get that title
  • Please come join us at our residence
  • It would be my honour to join you tonight
  • In this scene we see Lady Macbeth's most dominant side convincing Macbeth that royalty is his main aim, when it actually isn't. She also questions his manhood leaving him puzzled
  • I have done the deed. Didst thou not hear a noise?
  • I heard the owl scream and the crickets cry. Did not you speak?
  • Lady Macbeth's ideology leaves Macbeth completely conflicted and he is forced to weigh up his situation. Whether betraying Duncan would benefit him or not. As if he is listening to two different voices in his head
  • Taking his wife advice and invites Kind Duncan ( which he accepts )over to their castle to be able to murder him in a familiar environment
  • After experiencing much conflict, Macbeth finally murder King Duncan in his sleep. He does this so quietly that Lady Macbeth is started with how quietly and subtlety it was done, however is pleased to see that the deed is finally done
  • Due to the death of their father Donaldbain and Malcom flee to England and Ireland as they are fearing that their fathers murderer is now out to kill them.
  • Now that Macbeth has cleared his path for royalty he only had one obstacle in his path which was Banquo hence him hiring two murderers to kill Banquo's wife and children to clear the prophesy that the wyrd sisters made about his future. Thereafter he is the only person in line to be King
