I knew that Shania was very disappointed in herself, but I also knew that she was one to overcome things. She had to keep working at her biking tricks because that's what I had to do.
When I arrived home from school the next day, I saw Shania outside practicing her biking tricks once again. I knew that deep down that she was not going to give up until she got things exactly how she wanted them.
When she finally mastered the sharp turn, she was ecstatic! She was so surprised and excited for herself, and she realized what can happen when you work hard for something that you want.
As Shania grew older, I watched her go through many obstacles in school, sports, and just in life in general. She always strived to over any challenge that crossed her path and it has taken her very far in life.
And even when she feels like she can't do something, I remind her of the time she first rode her bike.
