Wow I am not very strong! I need to work on my strength! I want to increase my physical activity
Google: HOW TO BE MORE ACTIVE 1. Take the Stairs: 5 minutes climbing stairs burns 150 calories! 2. Don't forget to stretch!
Tommy identified physial activity as a behvaior he wants to work on
Tommy looked up ways to be more active. He went and bought a new pair of sneakers and plans on going to the school gym to work out twice a week.
WoW! I feel so much better! I am getting a better nights sleep, I have more physical endurance, and my grades have improved too!
Tommy is going to the gym twice a week to lift weights and run on the treadmill. He always remembers to bring his water bottle (health enhancing behavior) . While he is there he stays off his phone so that he is not distracted (risky behavior)!
Was I successful? Can I continue with this behavior?
Tommys parents support his new behavior change and pledge to also be more active (PF). They remind him that when he feels overwehlmed or anxious (RF) to take a break and take some deep breaths
After a few weeks Tommy starts to feel some of the benefits of increasing his physical activity!
