  • Wow I am not very strong! I need to work on my strength! I want to increase my physical activity 
  • Access 
  • Google: HOW TO BE MORE ACTIVE  1. Take the Stairs: 5 minutes climbing stairs burns 150 calories!  2. Don't forget to stretch!
  • Practice X2
  • Tommy identified physial activity as a behvaior he wants to work on 
  • Explain
  • Tommy looked up ways to be more active.  He went and bought a new pair of sneakers and plans on going to the school gym to work out twice a week.
  • Assess
  • WoW! I feel so much better! I am getting a better nights sleep, I have more physical endurance, and my grades have improved too! 
  • Tommy is going to the gym twice a week to lift weights and run on the treadmill.  He always remembers to bring his water bottle (health enhancing behavior) .  While he is there he stays off his phone so that he is not distracted (risky behavior)! 
  • Reflect
  • Was I successful? Can I continue with this behavior?
  • Tommys parents support his new behavior change and pledge to also be more active (PF).  They remind him that when he feels overwehlmed  or anxious (RF) to take a break and take some deep breaths
  • After a few weeks Tommy starts to feel some of the benefits of increasing his physical activity!
  • Tommy reflects on his behavior change
