  • Lady Macbeth hears soemone speaking outside while she boasts over her actions of drugging King Duncan's servants
  • Lady Macbeth fears that...
  • Macbeth enters with the dagger and both of them have an argument over whether he should have left the dagger on the servants. The sounds that Lady Macbeth heard were Macbeth's sayings.

  • Macbeth says that he is not strong enough to face what he has done, making Lady Macbeth call him a coward and saying that she will plant the dagger herself.
  • Lady Macbeth goes back to the kings chamber to plant the dagger on the servants. Meanwhile Macbeth deeply regrets what he has done, he can't wrap his head around the idea that he killed his King.
  • Lady Macbeth returns from planting the dagger, and someone knocks on the door. She tells Macbeth to get dressed quickly so that they can pretend they were sleeping.
