Storyboard Text

  • Would you like to learn how to make sparklers using stump remover?
  • My secret ingredient:  potassium nitrate (stump remover)!
  • LIST OF SUPPLIES: 24 grams sugar 36 gram stump remover 60 mL water 12 feet cotton string small pan cookie sheet
  • Be careful, this is my kitchen.
  • Step 1: Heat water in small pan.  Add stump remover and sugar.  Heat mixture thoroughly.
  • Next, soak the cotton yarn in the mixture.  Place yarn in a zig-zag pattern on the cookie sheet.  Bake at 300 degrees for 10 minutes. Loosen and bake for another 10 minutes.  Cool for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Find a clothespin or pliers to hold onto the end of the sparkler and head outside.
  • Cut the baked yarn "sparklers" into 8-10 inch lengths.
  • OK Bro, Let's see what you can do!
  • That's my boy!
  • No wonder I have grey hair!
  • Let's light them!
