Storyboard Text

  • With all the stuff that was going on at the church, a lot of religious problems and indulgences were given from Martin Luther.
  • Then Martin Luther writes a list of arguments against the church called the 95 Thesis.
  • Luther decides that he wanted to form his own religious church.
  • But the Catholic Church condemned Luther and rejected his ideas.
  • Martin refused to take back his teachings, and argued that the bible was the only source of religious authority.
  • Even though Martin was excommunicated from the Catholic Church, Lutheranism was the first of a series of "protestant" Christian faiths that broke from the Catholic Church.
