Exposition: On June 27th it was a very nice day in a small village where there were only about 300 people that had lived there. On June 2nd everyone gathered around the bank and post office around 10:00 in the morning something called "the lottery." The lottery was an event that happened quite often in this village everyone gathered in the center of the village where they held the event. Everyone would grab a piece of paper out of what is called the "black box" you don't want to win this lottery because if your paper has a black dot you will be stoned to death.
Conflict: Tessie picked a paper out of the black box. Opening her paper she saw a black dot.
Rising Action: All families began to arrive from all around the village, gathering in the center of the village. Tess Hutchinson rushes in, she was late and rushed to her family Soon enough everyone started drawing from the "black box."
Climax: When Tessie was selected, opening the paper seeing it was a black dot. Bill had opened his and it was blank.
Falling Action: Everyone gathered around Tessie and started to stone her to death.
Resolution: Tessie decided to say in the middle of being stoned "it isn't fair," and she said it again. Everyone was upon her after that.
