Storyboard Text

  • Brown VS Topeka Board of Education
  • Our children reserve the right to attend the same school as the white children. Denying our children this right denies them the rights of the 14th Amendment.
  • Keeping our children separated is not only harming their education, but also their future and their well being. It's not fair for them to grow up feeling inferior.
  • Segregating schools is helping maintain an orderly society. Integrating schools would cause too many conflicts.
  • What about the 10th Amendment? It is within the state's rights to segregate schools.
  • The Decision
  • State-sanctioned segregation of public schools is a violation of the 14th amendment and is therefore unconstitutional. I demand that all schools should be desegregated.
  • I won't stand for this!
  • This is outrageous.
