We actually learned about this in biology today. It's called a positive feedback loop.
But what does blood have to do with any sort of positivity?
It just means that your body reacts to a stimulus when receptors receive a disturbance and then tells the effectors to fix the problem.
Isn't bleeding a problem too?
Well, yes. In this case it's a part of the process to fix the disturbance. The effectors I mentioned before end up amplifying before they fix the problem. It's really important that you bleed enough to cover the whole wound. Once there's enough, it stops.
I think all this reviewing has earned us some ice cream.
